How do I book a character?
You can get started on a character booking by simply messaging our Facebook page or sending us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. In order for us to first check availability we will need the choice of character, the date and time you are interested in, and the physical address of the event location. Please allow up to 24 hrs to ensure we have availability. We will do everything we can to accommodate your request.
How early in advance do you recommend booking, and how do I secure my preferred date and time slot?
We recommend making your booking at least 30 days in advance to ensure your preferred date and time will be available. Our weekends do tend to fill up quickly! Upon booking, we require a non-refundable deposit equivalent to 50% of your base package rate to secure your date and time slot, with the remaining balance being due in full no later than 24 hours before your event start time.
Which payment methods do you accept?
Payments can be sent via PayPal, Venmo or if a corporate event, we also accept check. All details and further instructions will be e-mailed to you. Once we have received your deposit, you will receive confirmation that your event is scheduled in our books. If you wish to pay the full amount during the time of booking you may do so at your leisure; however only 50% is required at the time of booking. Please note, an additional fee of 3% will incur for each PayPal transaction.
What is your refund/cancellation policy?
We accept cancellations or postponements up to 7 days in advance of your booked event date. Unless As You Wish Entertainment would need to cancel your appearance for any reason, booking deposits are non-refundable in the event of a full cancellation. However, we will allow you to transfer your deposit to a different date of your choosing for the same package within 12 months of the originally booked date (subject to availability).
How can my business book a large event or character experience with As You Wish Entertainment?
Please email us directly to request information on our corporate event and partnership opportunities. We have limited spaces reserved for non-for-profit events so be sure to reserve your spot as soon as possible. We can accommodate as many characters as possible based on availability and we are flexible to work with you on the duration of their appearances.
What if there will be more than 15 children attending my child's party?
The activities included in our birthday party packages strictly accommodate up to 15 children. If there will be more than 15 children in participation, we cannot guarantee every child will get a fair chance to participate in the activities unless an additional 15 minutes of time per five extra children is booked. Extra time can be booked for a fee of $40/15 minutes, which is added on to your total package price at the time of booking. This is only a recommendation as we strive to engage every child in this amazing experience.
Can I request specific performer(s) to appear at my event?
We do accept specific performer requests. Unfortunately, due to availability and scheduling processes, we cannot guarantee your request will be able to be accommodated. However, please note that each of our cast members are trained to the same intensive standard and cast to resemble other performers who portray the same characters they do, so there are never any major discrepancies between character performers.
What can I expect at my event?
A royal staff member will contact you before your event to finalize details. The character will inform you when they expect to arrive and will provide supplies such as story books, trivia cards, (nail painting, tattoos and/or tea etiquette supplies for the Glass Slipper Package only) and a portable music sound system (corporate events may need to provide their own bases on capacity.)

Which areas do you cover?
Princess Parties and Superhero Parties are available throughout Syracuse, NY and surrounding areas, including but not limited to: Baldwinsville, Liverpool, North Syracuse, Cicero, Fulton, Brewerton, Oswego, Rochester, Fayetteville, Manlius, Utica, Rome, Skaneateles, Cortland, and more. Any event outside the Syracuse area will incur a mileage fee. Please e-mail us for details.
Do you allow outdoor events and performances?
Weather-permitting, we allow our character appearances to take place outdoors as long as a covered, well-shaded space is provided for our performance. For safety reasons, we will not perform in any outdoor location in the event of rain, wind gusts reaching over 30km/h, or heat index reaching over 30 degrees Celsius.
What is your policy on tipping?
Tips are never expected, but always appreciated. If you do choose to tip your performer, please help us preserve character integrity by discreetly handing it to the Character performer in a small envelope at the end of your event.
